About the Government of the City of Buenos Aires

The city’s website, www.buenosaires.gob.ar, was developed by the Systems Agency of the Ministry of Modernization in 2012 when the Open Source Drupal content management system was added.
This content manager is used in high-traffic governmental sites, like that of London and the White House, which allows for a qualitative leap in the generation of daily content, creating workflows which automate publication processes and the integration of social networks.
Each area of the City is responsible for updating their own content. By decentralizing data loading, information updating becomes more fluid and the areas are able to dominate much more of the web.The idea is to provide the citizen, the user, with a homogenous experience in all of his or her navigation.
In this context, the virtual assistant was launched in July 2013.
